Have a few questions? Some of the most frequently asked questions are answered below.
Is there a fee to join the MOMS Club ?
Currently our annual dues are $27. Dues cover administrative costs involved with running the chapter (such as postage, envelopes, photocopying, etc), a donation for our meeting space and other miscellaneous expenses.
Can I bring my kids to MOMS Club activities?
Children of all ages are welcome at all MOMS Club events. Although kids rarely join us at Moms' Night Out events, there will occasionally be a nursing baby making an appearance. We do have a separate children's room (equipped with toys) available during our monthly business meeting, but children are not required to go to the children's room, and many (especially younger ones) stay in the meeting room with the moms.
Is there a way for me to check out your group before I join and pay dues?
Absolutely! You may attend up to two general meetings before joining. For liability reasons, non-members may only attend our general meetings. After checking out two meetings, you need to become a paid member of our chapter in order to participate in any further MOMS Club activities. Of course, you may join anytime; you are not required to attend two meetings first!
What types of activities and events does MOMS Club offer to me?
Almost all MOMS Club activities are held during the daytime hours, when moms need support the most. We offer several options each month, such as a monthly business meeting, Moms' Night Out, community service projects, playgroups, and outings to area parks and museums. We also have frequent field trips. While we love to have our members get involved in club activities, participation is never mandatory and you are welcome to take part in as much or as little as you wish or your schedule allows. Check out our activities page for more details.
Is the MOMS Club a religious or political organization?
No. We welcome moms of all religions, ethnicities, political backgrounds and views. We do currently hold our monthly meetings at a local church which is kind enough to offer us the use of their space (we give them an annual donation to show our appreciation). However, neither the Colorado Springs- West chapter nor the International MOMS Club endorses or is affiliated with any religion or political group.
I think the MOMS Club is great, but I don’t live in the communities your chapter serves. What should I do?
You can check for a MOMS Club chapter in your area on the International MOMS Club home page, www.momsclub.org or send an e-mail to momsclub@aol.com. If there isn't a chapter in your area, you can be a chapter founder and start your own! Our chapter will be happy to help and provide guidance and you will get lots of support and assistance from the regional and national levels of MOMS Club as well.
I’m ready to join! Where do I sign up?
Great! Just send an email to info@momscoswest.com that includes your name, address and phone number and we will get in touch with you! We would love to have you join us!
